When I consider the humble dwellings of my neighbors’ homes,
I thank you Lord for warmth and shelter.
When I consider my neighbors who need financial help to keep water running from
their tap, I thank you for the simple gift of water.
When I consider those who are alone and without one friend,
I pray that our fellowship would grow and extend outside our circles.
When I consider the bounty of food on our Thanksgiving tables,
I pray for your abundance to multiply to provide for the multitude.
When I consider our neighbors suffering in mind and body,
I pray for your presence to heal and comfort.
When I consider the experience of scarcity,
I pray for your Holy Spirit to come in fullness.
